Pekka Roine

Pekka Roine is a lookout and a pilot for technology companies. As an international independent business executive, he is involved in both venture capital and technology company boards of directors.

Pekka is a partner in Boardman, the Finnish think tank in corporate governance.

Pekka is a Senior Advisor for Prime Technology Ventures, an Amsterdam-based VC, after his founding partner years in 1999-2003.

Pekka is currently chairman of Upstream Engineering, of Oulu, Finland. He was chairman for Solid, headquartered in Silicon Valley, in 1996-2002. He has functioned as a chairman or director in Finland, Switzerland, France, United States, and Israel.

Pekka has worked in technology for over 30 years. Before his independent years, Pekka was with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1972-1994, including a total of 18 years as Founder and President of the Finnish subsidiary, and 4 years in Switzerland and the United States.

Pekka holds a M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Helsinki. He is also a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University in California in 1984.
