Elizabeth F. O'Halloran

Elizabeth O’Halloran is director of intellectual capital at the Batten Institute, The Darden School, University of Virginia, where she leads the development of new knowledge in the Institute’s mission areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business transformation.
Her recent projects have focused on the investment practices in emerging markets, social and economic impact of entrepreneurship education in developing countries, development of learning cultures, and innovative means of providing equity-like financing of students seeking higher education. O’Halloran is the executive producer and co-editor of two recent publications: State of the Art: Cutting Edge Practices in American Angel Investing with John May; and Financing Human Capital with Miguel Palacios.
Prior to coming to Darden, O’Halloran gained substantial experience in intellectual project development within foundations, working in this capacity for the United States Institute of Peace and the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
O’Halloran graduated from The Darden School with an MBA in 1995 and, subsequently, taught a course at Darden for three years.
