V2C Forum 2005 Venture-to-Capital
2. SKY Workshop: Defining a Co-Entrepreneur and his/her business
A round of round table discussion meetings, held during February-June, 2005, led to the founding of a formal association seeking to foster a new profession in the space between venture and capital. Finnish Co-Entrepreneurs SKY Association was established by 52 founding members, in Helsinki, on September 7, 2005. The mission of SKY is to support (i) V2C activity aiming at international success stories and (ii) co-entrepreneurship as an emerging profession. The SKY workshop digs into the very core of the new association’s mission by addressing the questions of how to define a co-entrepreneur and how to define his/her business? A co-entrepreneur is a knowledge investor and a professional owner, a partner to the founding entrepreneur – a provider of “mentor capital” – to begin with.
