EBRF 2007
EBRF conference was launched in 2001 and ever since has been organized annually in Tampere, Finland. Every year EBRF has attracted some 200 participants to Tampere, produced a total of more than 360 reviewed research papers, and established itself as a leading business conference in Finland. Year 2007, however, marked a new era for EBRF. This was the first time that the event traveled away from Tampere, to the very centre of Finland, namely the city of Jyväskylä. Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) joined forces to organize this conference with the theme "Business, Technology and Growth".
EBRF is an academic research conference with a peer-reviewed publishing process: an accepted abstract followed by a presentation in the conference leads to a publication in the conference proceedings. The "Proceedings of EBRF 2007" is a collection of 56 research papers representing actual topics in academic business research. Altogether the EBRF 2007 conference received a total of 109 submitted abstracts and 67 research presentations were held at the conference. In addition, 4 invited keynote speeches from distinguished experts in business management and research were heard. The conference also offered interesting social program and the entire event was attended by over 140 participants from altogether 18 countries. The conference gathered representatives from academia, business life and also the public sector.
