Professor Craig Fleisher

Craig S. Fleisher holds the Odette Research Chair and is Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship, Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He is also the Vice-President/President-elect (2006) of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals, Chair of the Competitive Intelligence Foundation (Washington, DC), and Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management. He has been a dean, MBA director, chair, area head, and/or Professor on the faculties of Wilfrid Laurier University and the Universities of Calgary and New Brunswick (Canada), Pittsburgh (USA), Sydney and Sydney Graduate School of Management (Australia), and held industry positions in mortgage banking management and strategy consulting.
His research in the areas of competitive intelligence, corporate public affairs (PA) and performance management has resulted in seven books and over 140 published articles or book chapters. His most recent books include Competitive Intelligence and Global Business (w/ D. Blenkhorn, Praeger, 2005), Handbook of Public Affairs (w/ P. Harris, Sage, 2005), Controversies in Competitive Intelligence (Praeger, 2003), and Strategic and Competitive Analysis (w/ B. Bensoussan, Pearson, 2003), which is used in top business schools around the globe and has been translated into over half a dozen different languages.
A frequent keynote or plenary speaker to government, industry and trade association groups around Australasia, Europe and the Americas, Professor Fleisher has also advised leading global organizations such as Alcan, Bell Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, EDS, IBM, Imperial Oil, Johnson & Johnson, Levi Strauss, Noranda, Novo-Nordisk, Ontario Hydro, Philip Morris, Shell, and Telstra. A founding member of the International Association of Business and Society (IABS), life member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), he is also the Regional Editor for the Americas of the Journal of Public Affairs (Wiley), a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Technology Intelligence and Planning (Inderscience) and Asia Pacific Public Relations Journal. A member of the Canadian Who’s Who and Who’s Who in Canadian Business, he was recognized as Outstanding Professor by Wilfrid Laurier University’s School of Business in 1994.
