Jukka Ala-Mutka
What causes a company to become a great company or what is the language to build up the “DNA” of an enterprise from the very beginning? In this study, combining entrepreneurship and strategic management perspectives into a whole is called professional entrepreneurship. Methodologically, the study builds on a synthesis of three different approaches: (1) Conceptual construction; (2) Survey exercise; (3) Case study focus on the Finnish CRM market and comprehensively describing the transition of case firm.
The contribution of the study develops a certain part of strategic management anchored to the cognitive approach and provides managerial implications for the design and implementation of business models in the context of growth venturing. In addition, it can be stated that professional entrepreneurs should be considered as “the geese who develop the golden eggs for societies at large”.
