Frontiers of e-Business Research 2005

Frontiers of e-Business Research (FeBR) 2005, volumes 1-2 – a collection of 68 research papers – present the conference proceedings of e-Business Research Forum (eBRF) 2005. In fact, FeBR 2005 marks the closing of the book of the eTampere era (2001-2005) in the life of the eBRF conference. Ever since its launch, in 2001, eBRF has encouraged holistic, multidisciplinary research on the multiple effects of ICT on business reality. As a result, FeBR 2001-2005 offer a unique longitudinal window on the evolution of e-business research and the transformation of business. Together, the five proceedings comprise 232 research papers by authors from 19 countries.

The first five eBRF conferences were organized by e-Business Research Center (eBRC), a Tampere University of Technology and University of Tampere joint venture established for limited life (2001-2005) as part of eTampere. As a sub-program of eTampere, a local pilot of eEurope, eBRC made it its business to serve researchers, businesses and research funders as a broker and matchmaker in e-business related research and development projects – in the business of turning ideas into knowledge.
